Therapeutic Approach
My therapeutic approach is client-centered and multi-faceted. This means that you, the client, get to decide how we use our time in therapy together! I’m always happy to provide options or guide clients in directive activities that are supportive in engaging with your goals, but nothing is ever mandatory.
My style is informed by many therapeutic modalities and frameworks including:
Play therapy (for kids and adults!)
Internal Family Systems (IFS) and parts work
Check out these activities that can help you self-soothe and regulate your emotions at home:
EFT Tapping (demonstration & instructions)
Butterfly Hugs (bilateral stimulation)
Light Stream (visualization)
Safe Calm Place (visualization)
Glimmers (read about and practice noticing!)
Get creative! Sometimes creating something new can help get us out of our head, shake a bad mood, or provide a helpful distraction.
